Stephen Anderson serves as the Pastor of Ministry Advancement at 180 Church’s Downtown Campus. He grew up in the southwest suburbs of Chicago and was radically saved by Jesus in November of 2015. Since then, the Lord has led him on a journey of growth, transformation, and service rooted in a deep love for Jesus and His Church.

Stephen has been married to his wife, Nikki, for nine years, and together they have two children, Ezra (5½) and Shiloh (2½). They are passionate about building a life centered on Jesus, community, and hospitality—creating a home where people feel welcomed, known, and free to be authentic. Nikki is a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom who loves being fully present with their children as they learn, explore, and grow. As a family, they enjoy sharing meals, hosting others, experiencing different cultures, and staying connected to the global Church.

Stephen and Nikki both graduated from Moody Bible Institute and lived in the city during that season, where God began shaping their heart to see Chicago experience revival and salvation. At the core of Stephen’s calling is a desire to see people encounter Jesus for who He truly is and experience the abundant life He died to give. He longs to help others develop a well-worn path of walking closely with Jesus—knowing Him more deeply, being transformed through discipleship, and coming alive in life in the Spirit.

Stephen especially carries a burden to see revival in Chicago as the Church awakens to the fullness of its relationship with Jesus and lives out its calling in a broken world. Stephen and Nikki are grateful to call 180 Church home and look forward to walking with the community as they follow Jesus and live out His mission in Chicago and beyond.
