Frequently Asked Questions

Generosity is one of the ways we align our hearts with God’s mission. Every story of life change at 180 is fueled by faithful giving. As we continue building for the future, we’ve launched Overflow: a secure, streamlined platform designed to make generosity simple and impactful. Here are answers to common questions as you take your next step.

What is Overflow? +
Overflow is the new online giving platform 180 Chicago uses to process digital donations. It allows you to give securely through bank transfer, debit/credit card, stocks, mutual funds, Donor Advised Funds (DAFs), Google/Apple Pay, all in one place.

We chose Overflow to expand giving options and steward resources more efficiently.
Why did we switch to Overflow? +

We transitioned to Overflow for two primary reasons:

  • Stewardship: Overflow offers significantly lower processing fees, meaning more of every dollar goes directly toward ministry.
  • Expanded options: It allows for non-cash giving like stocks and DAFs, which can be more tax-efficient for some families.

This change helps position 180 well for the future while honoring the generosity of our church family.

I give on a recurring basis. What do I need to do? +
If you previously set up recurring giving through our former platform, PushPay, you’ll need to re-initiate your recurring gift in Overflow. You should receive (or may have already received) an email with a link to confirm your giving details. Once completed, please cancel your recurring gift in the previous platform to avoid duplicate donations.
Is my personal and financial information secure? +
Yes. Overflow uses industry-standard encryption and secure processing technology to protect your information. Your financial details are not stored by 180 Chicago and are handled securely by the platform.
What new ways can I give through Overflow? +

Overflow allows you to give through:

  • ACH (bank transfer)
  • Debit or credit card
  • Apple/Google Pay
  • Stocks and mutual funds
  • Donor Advised Funds (DAFs)
Will this change how I access my giving history? +
Yes, slightly. Moving forward, your donation history will be available through your Overflow profile rather than PushPay. If you need records from before the transition, our team can provide those upon request.
Who do I contact if I have questions? +
