Lori was raised in central Illinois, and grew up in a non-Christian home. At the age of 34, after many years of seeking meaning in the empty pursuit of the things of this world, Lori became a follower of Jesus and turned away from those empty pursuits, and fell into the arms of her Savior. She has been following hard after Jesus ever since her first incredible encounter with Him.
Lori spent 10+ years as a single mother to twins from the time they were just under two years until they were twelve, when she met and married Bill, a widowed father of two. Bill and Lori have been married since 2000 and have 4 children, and 7 grandchildren, along with 2 adult grandchildren. They live in Villa Park with their two rescue dogs, Tucker the rescue hound and Callie the Golden Retriever pup. Lori’s hobbies include gardening, reading and caring for their koi pond.
Lori is a retired Associate Director in Risk Management at AT&T, where she spent 38 years enjoying multiple roles and responsibilities. Lori attended community college in Oglesby, IL at Illinois Valley Community College and simultaneously took classes at Illinois State University in Normal, IL in vocal performance and theater. One of her favorite things in the whole world is singing praise to her Savior.
Lori is currently serving as Executive Assistant to Pastor Karl Clauson. Lori is passionate about planning and executing events and projects, and has strong organizational and communication skills. She likes a challenge, but is a planner by nature and thrives in structured environments.
Since Lori and Bill began attending 180 Chicago Church more than 6 years ago, they have found deep and lasting relationships with followers of Jesus that they dearly love. It is a joy and a treasure to be in a church that so authentically loves each other and is always striving to be more like Jesus. Lori and Bill both love Chicago and her people and long to see the city transformed and awakened to new life in Christ.
