Director of Mobilization & Integration

Katie Christopher

Katie grew up on a farm in the small town of Ludington, MI and became a believer in high school through the witness of one of her best friends. Katie’s interests in connecting with people and learning about other cultures led her to study a BA in Spanish and Psychology at Western Michigan University. Planning to become a missionary to Mexico, she came to Moody Theological Seminary to study. However, God changed her plans when she met her husband from India, Ajit Christopher. United by a passion for ministry and the word of God, Katie and Ajit continued their studies together. During that time, Katie also began working at Moody Bible Institute in the Practical Christian Ministries department, where she stayed for seven years. There she greatly enjoyed mentoring students and working with her team to coordinate the students’ weekly ministries.

In 2018, Katie completed her first degree at Moody Theological Seminary in Spiritual Formation and Discipleship and began her second MA at Moody in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She and Ajit joke that they are perpetual students!

Katie has had a wide variety of ministry experience, including several different avenues of college ministry (community-building, evangelism, Bible studies), leading ministry trips, participating in worship ministry, overseeing children’s ministry, and mentoring individuals and couples.

Katie is passionate about people experiencing the love, welcome, and acceptance of God. As the director of mobilization and integration at 180 Chicago, Katie oversees the teams and processes involved with making people feel welcome and at home at 180 and finding their avenues of discipleship, service, and leadership. It is her desire that everyone will find authentic community, grow as a disciple of Christ, and find an avenue to use their God-given gifts!

When she has free time, Katie loves to spend time with her husband Ajit and their wonderful daughter, Roshni, play the cello, and host game nights!
